The smartest thing you can do if you have any reason to think that you or a loved one may be arrested is to immediately consult a competent criminal lawyer.  On many occasions, I have been successful in avoiding a prosecution.  Even if there is an arrest, the client will know what they should not do and what they should do.

The best advice I can offer if this describes your predicament is to speak only to G-d and your attorney and never ever speak to any law enforcement officials.
